Due to Gardoria's unique nature as an extremely decentralized Paramouncy, and the fact that the 47 tribes of which they originally vassalized still retain their ancestral lands, Gardoria has far more direct vassals than any other paramouncy, and comes close to the most vassals of any existing state at all. Only the Zaentovi tribes, which number in the hundreds, beat the Gardorians in that regard. Of countries that are united, however, the Gardorians have the most direct vassals.

Dukes can assert greater influence in their region, and are seen as more legitimate in the eyes of external governments -- however, some duchies have less land to their name than counties, or less manpower. It is best to assume that a dukedom is usually more powerful due to them always traditionally being such, but as of late, the power in Gardoria has relatively balanced itself.
