House Dragomyr is a former Great House that originated in the Drakonian Peninsula. They began their reign thousands of years ago in the Drakonian Peninsula, when they began the construction the shining city of Drakonia. They were deposed and put to exile by a union of Houses, most notably Karthmere and Grimolt, among other lesser Houses. Since then, House Karthmere and Grimolt have been at odds to take their place on the Seat of Embers. House Dragomyr was a powerful Great House dating back over 7 millenia ago. Their line was believed to be first created sometime in the Age of Legends by the legendary Aegor I the Strong; although it is said they go back farther. Legend states that Aegor I was the first man to have found and hatched dragon eggs and was responsible for building and creating the Kingdom of Drakonia. Drakonian myth states he built the city with his hands and molded it together with Dragonfire. He began his reign as the first Dragonking and conquested the entirety of the Drakonian Peninsula, forcing other nobility to bend the knee.

Draegon Dragomyr rose to power after his father Rhaegor II had passed. He began setting out beyond the peninsula, more so than the previous line of Dragomyr Lords. During his travels, he found a large volcano, smoking at it's peak. He gathered his unit and marched toward it. He was amazed to have found a clutch of 4 Dragon eggs nestled in a warm cavern that dug into the volcano.

His discovery sparked much interest from the people of Drakonia and Draegon found himself reading ancient text on how to handle the eggs, or perhaps hatch them. He studied the words carefully and kept the eggs well heated for the next few months. During that time, he gathered materials needed to perform a hatching ritual, to give the Dragons life so that they can burst through their shells. Once ready, he began the ritual. The last requirement of the ritual, was to sacrifice your blood to give life to the Dragons, to which Draegon slit the palm of his hand.

The flames grew bright and the Dragons arose from those flames, hatchlings they were, about the size of a human hand. From there, Draegon took them back to Drakonia and announced the rebirth of Dragonkin to which the Drakonian people were overjoyed to hear. Draegon was coronated and named himself Dragonking Draegon of House Dragomyr, the First of his name, King of Drakonia, Father of Dragons, and Defender of the Peninsula.
